Inspired by another blog, we installed rain gutter bookshelves in the playroom (well, Daddy installed them). Since they have been installed, the kids have been reading much more! Madison is reading books to the younger ones, Hazel ‘read’ a book or two. Even Dennis keeps picking books to be read to him. He never bothered when they were on the bookshelves. (and Morgan reads all the time anyway)

Hazel is so advanced now that she is reading Shakespeare!!

The girls will be walking Saturday November 7th. Please make a donation, if you can! They are also collecting spare change to take into school.
Madison turned 7 on Sept 29th and we celebrated her birthday the following weekend. Madison invited some friends from school and her family to join in on the fun. Mommy baked her cake and then Nana decorated it for her. Madison got some cool presents and some really awesome home made cards from her friends! Mom and Dad even got her an Ipod!
Here is Nana, Madison, and The Cake:

And Madison and her friends opening presents:

We’re going to see the Wizard of Oz tonight! At the movie theater! You can check here to see if there is a showing near you.
Mommy and Aunt Trisha are taking all three girls. We’ll edit this post tomorrow with our movie review

Movie Reviews
Morgan: I loved the Wizard of Oz! It’s my favorite movie so far.
Madison: It was great! My favorite parts were when the Cowardly Lion sang his song, when he jumped out the window, when Dorothy freed the Scarecrow, when the Wicked Witch melted, and the song The Yellow Brick Road.
Hazel: I didn’t like the scary parts! My favorite parts were when the Lion sang his song and in the beginning when Dorothy got Toto back.
Today was Hazel Day at preschool! Hazel made a poster to tell all about herself. She included her favorite food (macaroni and cheese), her favorite color (green), her family, her pet, her friends, her favorite book (Are You My Mother?), and what she wants to be when she grows up (a dentist). Mommy came to class and read Are You My Mother to everyone. Hazel also shared some books with the other kids in class. Mommy stayed most of the day and saw all the fun things Hazel does all day. She got to sing songs, dance, go to the playground, play with playdough, and see all the kids paint colorful apples!
Mommy came to Hazel’s class last night for a parent night. The teachers played this song and all the kids AND the grownups danced! It was really funny!
Everyone get up and dance along!
Last night we all played Yahtzee(well, not Dennis). We also had shrimp cocktail with it for a yummy treat! It didn’t last two minutes. Hazel and Mom were on a team and Hazel did the rolling. She was very good at it too! Her and mom almost won, but they were beat by MADISON! We decided that every Friday will be game night from now on. Then we don’t have to rush to get ready for bed. Hazel already picked the game for this Friday. We’ll be playing SpongeBob Bingo! Check back to find out who won.
I had a great day at school. I went to the office for a positive referral. The Vice Principal called my mom. He told her that I am a good student, that I am prepared for class, and never get into trouble. I got two prizes; one for a good referral and one for getting four pride tickets. I got gooey noisy putty and a tiny stuffed football.

The girls loved Dennis’ collages so much that they all wanted to make one too! Hazel even helped cut pictures out of a magazine. They are going to take their collages to their teachers tomorrow.
This one is Hazel’s picture. She made three “people” using all kinds of cool stuff!

Madison picked all kinds of cool things for her picture and she added decoration with marker.

Morgan decided to go with an “eye” theme for her picture.

Morgan may have been inspired a bit by mommy’s picture:
